Here is our little "bean" at 20 weeks. He is getting fairly active and instead of feeling the little "butterflies" that a pregnant woman is supposed to feel at this stage I get persistent little thumps telling me when Bean is awake and moving now.

Here is the first evidence of Bean we saw during our Friday ultra sound, his little foot (probably kicking Mom in the bladder).

The ultra sound went very well, and the tech said Bean is a boy! He is healthy, and all his organs are functioning as they should. He has fingers, toes, and a healthy amount of energy. What more can parents ask for? :-)

The ultra sound was amazing, but the photos came out pretty grainy. Even so, you can pretty much get a good idea of what it was like from these shots.

Ollie the cat was using my ironing board as a place to nap and scratching post, so I kicked him out of my sewing room. He decided to use my empty knitting basket as his new nap post. Shows me...

We are expecting a baby!
Here is a scan of my first ultra sound, we saw the heart beat and the doctor says everything is fine.

The due date is February 27, 2008 but I am aiming for the 29th.

Me-ouch!

Oliver the cat just got home from the vet. He had a really nice abscess on his chest, and the vet had to perform a little surgery to fix him up. You can't see it from this side, but the right side of his chest is shaved right now, and the vet doesn't want him pulling out his stitches so for now he and the cone are best buds.

Happy Halloween!

We went to a Halloween party last night in Westphalia. One of Dave's friends hosts a big party every year. They decorated a barn with spooky stuff and everyone comes in costume. Here we are at the party. We got a lot of compliments on the costumes.

Here is a close up on the dress I sewed. I faked up a hood, and sewed up a cheapo wig into the braid bun hairdo.

Darth is showing off his cool light saber. He is also sporting a HP Graphing calculator for his control panel.
